I always feel a little guilty being alone at Christmas. No nearby relatives and not any other single friend around. I used to get all sad and crying, but now just hope nobody notices I am home.I also mumble something unintelligable when people ask what I am going to do for Christmas. I am happy alone and enjoying something good to eat and watching TV or going to Church and in the afternoon to a movie. There are lots of things to do, besides the usually stressful stuff we think we must do on Christmas.

So what do you do when you are alone? Maybe it will give me some good ideas.

Also, how do you hide the fact you are alone, so that no self appointed santa's helper invites you over.

It seems like you're already doing the best thing, making a full day of it! Going to church would be on the top of my list; I see its on your list as well. Also, going out for dinner to your favorite restaurant would be a nice treat for you too. Don't be afraid to tell people you'll be alone, just be sure to mention that you're day is all filled up. Merry Christmas!

There's nothing you can do if people keep on inviting you over if they sense you are alone for Xmas. They are just being gracious and polite (even if gets a bit annoying at times). l was never alone during holidays but l do understand how you feel (l'm the type who doesn't socialize much).
You can prepare a feast for yourself if you want. Rent an interesting movie that you haven't got the time to watch. Read a mysterious novel that catches your fancy. Catch up with correspondence or just alter the furnishings in your place for a change.
Have a wonderful holiday season.

Why hide it? Be thankful for what you do have, a chance to be around again for xmas, no drama (haha but seriously), i mean there are plenty of positives about it. I enjoy being alone, im not big into xmas and if it wasnt for my dad and a few other fam. members i wouldnt even show up. Dont get down, dont even worry about it!
