im 17. ive had a job before.
i'm looking at the mcdonalds...fast food...myer...big w...target areas of work

im 15 and i work at bakers delight, i get paid $8.50 an hour, at 17 you should get paid between $9 and $10, depends if you work weekends or not.

Try to get a teller job at a bank this will give you better money and better hours and they will work with your school schedule. You won't reek or fast food and wont work on Friday and Saturday nights! You will have Sundays off and paid holidays and fast food you will work weekend nights and holidays and you don't get paid time off. Banking will look good on a resume later, and you can have more of a social life.

I work part time at a restaurant and the hospital. It's not a glamorous life, but it sure is better than being at home broke. Try applying to all the places you would like then go in for an interview so you can decided on which job suits you best.

My son is 17 - he works part time at Coles - part of Kmart, Office Works group etc- he gets $10.50 an hour.
Time and a half on Sundays etc...
You also get a staff discount card.

it depends where u live. I'm in the chicago area, and minimum wage is 7.50
