I delivered on 29th Aug & had light bleeding till 20 Sep (21-22days). I am still breastfeeding my baby. I completed 3 cycles within 3 months of my delivery on 22-Oct, 16-Nov & 12-Dec. I had regular flow for 4-5 days (like before pregnancy) during all the 3 cycles. I keep getting cramps in the lower abdomen.. Is it normal to get menses like this?? Please help

I think this is perfectly normal......In my case, I bled for almost 20 day continuous after delivery...then for 2 months no bleeding.....fter that I had regular mentrual cycle and I breast fed for almost 1.5 years.
so just relax and take any brand containing mefenamic acid during painful menses and u will be ok.

It's highly doubtful that you are pregnant. The uterine lining takes a while to heal after childbirth, and menses can be irregular for awhile. Everyone: Menses is a medically correct term for periods.

you are having spasmodic dysmenorrhea-that is spasm of pelvic organs during the menses.Do not bother about these terms .Take some simple medicines during the menstrual periods when you are having these cramps - for example tab Anafortan one tab as and when required ( Or morning and one evening), Do not worry ,Your menses are normal other wise . And your this problem may disappear after some time. As you are feeding a baby I would advise you to take some calcium tablets like Tab Osteocalceum (Glaxo) one tab morning and one in the evening or just one tablet daily will be good enough.

I didn't have any periods at all when I was breastfeeding my daughters. In fact, with the second, I managed to delay having a period for about a year and a half. I know all women are different but if you're breastfeeding full-time, you really shouldn't be having periods. It sounds like something else is going on and you should see your doctor.
