Does this redeem belichick for Spygate? Or is everything tainted? What if they win the Super Bowl? Just want to hear what everyone thinks.

This question is pointless, the team gained no advantage whatsoever by the placement of the camera. People have no clue what "spygate" really was and instead make up their own misguided opinions of the issue.

1. The Patriots and any team can film ANYTHING they choose to. Coaches, cheerleaders, fans, even the hot dog vendors. The only thing they did wrong was film from an unauthorized location.

2. The rule in the memo that was sent out by Commissioner Goodell stated that filming from those locations was not allowed for use in the current game (nothing about filming for use later), so it was very vague.

3. The darn camera was confiscated 8 minutes into the first game of the year... If they were able to decipher anything from that footage (which nobody saw) they should be working as govt. codebreakers.

4. "Spygate" was invented by the NY media who's still pissed off at Bellicheck for not wanting to coach the Jets... ESPN just picked up on it later.

Now, getting back to your question. Nothing's tainted, 4 years from now, they will be remembered as the greatest team in History.

Does anybody think of the Broncos Championship teams as being "cheaters"? (Salary Cap Violations, actually impacted their success) Does anybody think of the 1972 Dolphins as cheaters? (Illegally obtained Coach Shula prior to the season and had to forfeit a 1st round draft pick for it - sound farmiliar?) No, because it's all about performance on the field not the bull that happens in the media.

IF the Pats go 16-0??? when the season is over, nothing will change... I love my Pats, and feel quite confident that they are going 16-0, and have a great shot at another SB, and there are still going to be enough haters out there that this season will not matter! just like with me, i live in Indy, i hate the Ponies, always have, and last season didnt change that! Colts could win 5 SB's in a row, I still wouldnt like them! and i could give you a list of reasons why! so it wont matter what The Pats do this season or for the next few years, people will be talking for quite a while, cause they are haters! every tem has fans! and haters!

If the Pats do this? If the Pats do that? I hear enough of it already, makes me want to puke. Also, Spygate? Come on people. Its a marketing ploy to keep people interested in the NFL. Its pure big business! The more *scandal* the more attention that is paid to the sport and the more the sport makes! Period! And that comes from a Colts fan. Who cares, spy all you want. You still have to go out and perform. Yes, the Pats have performed, but their is still another season to play called the playoffs!

Really, there is no "Belicheck and Spygate". But to answer, they still need to hit 15, (which I'm confident they will)...They will probably sweep Dallas in the Superbowl; it should be a close one however. It will be a great one to watch since Dallas has been out of the spotlight for quite some time.

This doesn't really answer the question (but you did say "if" the Pat go 16-0), but what if Miami hands New England their first loss? Wouldn't that be crazy? I mean, they did it last year, didn't they?

Anyway, if the Patriots go 16-0, everyone will be too hyped up about it to really question Belichek. And besides, how can you question their record after all those one-handed catches from Randy Moss? The team has talent, and that can't be denied.

No.

First of all I saw absolutely nothing yesterday to change my mind about them being a total failure in the playoffs, especially if the weather is bad. The passing game was completely shut out, exactly as I predicted. The running game was unimpressive, gaining only 132 yards against a 30th rated Jet rushing defense which surrenders 141 yards per game.

As for the cheating scandal, that will never go away. In fact, going undefeated would only make it worse over time. There are tell-all books just waiting to be written about this team.

There is absolutely NOTHING tainted about the Patriots this season, its a joke that they made such a big deal out of what happened. After they were caught they have went on to win all these games without a single loss, and they have dominated 90% of their games in a fashion that weve never seen.

It would be awesome if they do. Redemption? I think they've proven their skills but sadly there are the people that won't let it go. Even though it's been blown into a much bigger deal than what it was they will act childish and want bring out their little asterisks.

First off, I know the Pat's are a great team, but I don't like Belicek and I don't like the team. They went over the top with spying and they're a bunch of slimeballs for doing it, even thinking about it. I also don't like the way they run up the score when they already have the game won, it shows a definite lack of class.

But, I don't think the spying and being undefeated are directly related. so yes and no.
