How come so many women seem to think the anorexic look is beautiful?

I don't understand it. I doubt if you would find a single male who thinks a woman is attractive who looks like a skeleton or a stick insect. I've never come across any males who think so.

Yeah, guys like girls who are slim and healthy. Not fat or skinny. Slim is not skinny.

It's the propaganda created by the media. Our mind has been receiving messages from the media with the back-up of the visual effect of the beautiful slim women pictures, giving the women the impression that being slim or even anorexic is beautiful no matter how subtle these messages can be.... Besides, most people are not contented with what they have which make them victims for such propaganda.....

Because the media and advertisements have bombarded women with the image of stick thin models and tell them that in order to be considered beautiful, this is how they should look like. Hence, a lot of these problems start when women are still in their teens when they feel they must resemble something from a magazine in order to fit in, which is very unrealistic.

Because the media portrays it that way. Take a look in a fashion magazine - most of the models are very skinny, and I suppose that women think that if they're in a fashion magazine they must be beautiful

I think looking like a woman is beautiful!! Beyonce and Marylin Monroe. Curvy and gorgeous. People don't relize that models are required to look the way they do, so the clothes they model will fit them a certain way. Every day women should try to look natural and healthy!

its because they see how sucessful these thin celebrities are and after time people start to think if they're getting successful after losing so much weight and getting so much attention from it, it could benefit me as well. sometimes guys make fun of girls for being fat and when other girls who arent actually fat see that happen they might think they're fat ? i dont know some ppl are really sensitive
i think anorexic people are disgusting especially if they have fake boobs to go with it (ex:victoria beckham)

Its the media's perception on what a women should look like in modern times and the demand to look good now a days. People get the metal mind set that they need to get drastic to look that way and it gets out of hand. Its a mental addiction that gets carried away

The problem is that it looks better in pictures than in real life. Many women see these photos and think these models look great.
