Steve C

Don't be ridiculous mate. Half the film was dull poker game and Craig had about as much charisma as stale bread

Cobblers, it was the best Bond movie since Goldfinger. No silly gadgets, no Dr Evil type villain trying to destroy the world (these were never in the Ian Fleming books with the possible exception of Moonaker), and Craig actually manages to get his hands dirty-Pierce Brosnan was far too pretty to get his hair messed up fighting bad guys in anything remotely realistic, Roger Moore was little more than a cardboard cut out with the occasional droll quip, Timothy Dalton wasn't given enough of a chance, and Sean Connery needed a hairpiece in Diamonds Are Forever-not very Bond-like is it!?

Casino Royale was brilliant; semi believable, with a decent plot and great stunts, a Bond girl that actually could act, and aside from the gratuitous product placements I loved it.

It's a toss up, but I think he's (Craig) is the best Bond since Roger Moore (though I like Connery better). Royale was, indeed, the best Bond film to come out in decades. The raw grittiness that Craig added to the character was refreshing and he made Bond real. The lack of gadgets (and Q) was also a good call. I think a lot of the nay-sayers will actually appreciate what Craig did for the franchise and I forsee it growing because of this reboot.

This isn't one of my favorite James Bond movies and it's not because of Daniel Craig. He's decent enough but the franchise truly has run out of steam and needs to be retired for good.

I thought it was a great film and Craig gave a very interesting performance.

Thought the same as you did.

Sean Connery was the best Bond, in my opinion.
The films were better, also.

Probably most things seem boring now as we have so many movies with computergraphics.

Hated it - and I normally love Bond films!

Each to his own though! I know some think he's the best ever.

Agreed! There wasn't that sparkle and wit which was so good in the earlier films, and gradually faded out as more films were made.

I love Bond films, because they don't take themselves seriously.

This one, however, seem to try to do exactly that.

I think it is the worst Bond film I have ever seen.

Not agreed. Daniel Craig is hotter than one of Dr No's laser guns......... and Casino Royale was cool as the action was believable and Daniel looked really tough as well as hot in it..........

You are just jealous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

disagreed...I think it was a great stab at a Bond film, a good action movie on its own apart from that..and he was a really different take on the Bond format...a good one!..but each to their own view.
