I uninstalled Kaspersky because it started asking me for the key/licence and when i try to re-install it's giving me messages that I already have it installed although i removed it at both "Program File and Add/Remove"

I now need to check if i can still find it at Registry so i can also remove it unfortunately i don't know the procedures.

Be warned, you can totally mess up your PC doing this. If you don't take a backup of your registry then this can be FATAL to your PC, so much so that you will have to rebuild your PC from scratch. Yes with XP & Vista you could try to restore your PC to the last stable platform, but this doesn't always work when you mess with the Registry.

Start/Run.../regedit.
Make sure the "My Computer" folder is active (right at the top of the list)
---- this is the MOST important bit ---
Click File/Export...
Export the whole registry to your Desktop.
----
Click Edit/Find...
Search for either Kaspersky or the owners of the software
For every key you find, delete the Folder. F3 finds the next instance. The search is not case sensitive. Repeat until no more keys can be found.

Reboot your PC. If you have any problems at all. Double click on the .reg file on your desktop to restore your Registry, then repeat the process until your PC is free of Kaspersky and running properly.

A safer method would be to invest in a Registry Cleaner, although do export your registry first before using any of them.

The best way..is to do this..
Download a program called Registry Detective. It's good up to Win Xp..I haven't tried using it on Vista yet. Once you have it loaded, open it and type in the search box window the name of the program you wish to uninstall. Be very careful when using this as you can do seriuos trouble to your system. Once I find the list of keys to remove, I usually start at the last one on the list and work my way back toward the first one on the list.
AGAIN, THIS Program IS NOT SOMETHING FOR A NOVICE to use.If you're not sure of what you see in the registry, my suggestion is to find a tech who is to do this for you..Good Luck~!
PS..With this program, once you're finis running it the first time..You can re-run it and, if it comes up with nothing on the list..then you know you got it all...:)
