My third grade teacher had narcolepsy. She would just fall asleep at her desk. I remember her waking up when we were all running around the room. She shrieked at us and told us we were not to do that ever again -- we should wake her up. Right. The next time it happened we all got up and poked at her or yelled at her. That was wrong, too. She told us we weren't to get out of our seats. Sooooo, we threw spit balls at her the next time. Whoa -- that was also an incorrect response! The ones she caught at it had to under go her normal punishment -- smelling her stinky feet. Third grade was miserable. Narcolepsy is a really bad thing for a teacher to have, but probably worse for a truck driver.
