Firstly Nefertiti was the wife of Akhenaten, and the step mom of Tutankhamen. Personally I think that you should name your child what ever you want to name her. But before you do, honestly sit down and think about what it would be like to grow up with that name. Not just the good, but also the bad. If pro's out way the cons, then you've got a winner. Otherwise scrap it and start over.

All I think about is Queen Nefertiti and I can't say that I really like the name... I mean you most likely won't find her friends calling her Nefertiti--- so she'd probably be called Titi... then soon like titty or something... I'd re-think the name.

Do NOT ever name a child Nefertiti. It is an ANCIENT Egyptian name and not only is it horrible, but the poor kid will get teased!

Well yeah, it's better than Cleopatra...actually yeah, I like it, it doesnt sound bad at all, it's...exotic

I knew a girl once named Basthet (as the Egyptian Cat Goddess), and somehow I really liked her name, I mean, it sounded weird, and some people would make fun of her, but it imbued some kind of mystery to her...

As much as I may like it though, I'd never name my child like that, but if you do, then go ahead...Anyway, kids can change their names when reaching 18 or 21, not sure :)

good luck

It was a perfect name when the real Nefertiti was alive, but please don't do it to your kid. You have to remember that she will be in school some day and kids can be cruel.

Well.. as pretty as that name is, I would leave it more as a middle name than a first name due to how brutal children can be.... My parents were going to name me Sagourney (Sagourney Weaver from the Alien movies.. I know I'm spelling her name wrong...) but decided not to due to knowing how cruel people are.

Yes, pretty, but I'm afraid the kids will tease too much.

Maybe:
Cleopatra
Athena
Alexandra
Golda

Joy to you!

NEVER give any kid a name with the word 'titty' in it. I know everyone wants to be unique, but come on. Say it out loud and if it sounds bad, it is bad.
