i need help on how psychology was viewed in the past, i read my abnormal behaviior book but ist not specifically saying how it was viewed? can some one help me?

This psychology is perhaps the only science that evolved very recently.
And also, if we look carefully, the only science that needs to undergo changes at the very basics, when global level research warrants it!
It is the complexities of life that has turned modern humans to behave in a very complex way, giving the need for psychology and psychiatrists too!

many years ago psychology was the subject which was believed to be a part of sociology,,since sociology also concerned wid society and peoples behaviour......but psychology has now got its individual recognition & importance ....bcoz psychology goes beyond society & its reaction to various chemical and biological aspects,, this is what the recent textbooks tell me......
4 more details refer to the first course in psychology,,in the starting of the book........authors name is k.t.basantani.....
