Starmark is right. When he played at OU when I was there, it was injuries that destroyed him. He was a shoo-in for the Heisman his sophomore year, but got hurt.

People always bag on the "soft" running backs like Martin, Alexander, and LT, and always want that extra yard that they get from Holmes, Emmit, and Terrel Davis, but the fact is Emmit and a very few others are the exception and Davis and Holmes are the rule. Peterson is like the latter now but hopefully he will learn to be "soft" or I much prefer live to see another down, if he doesn't do this he will go out before his time just like Holmes and Davis and so many other backs that had serious potential.

Deshawn Foster is indexed as a results of fact the starter in Carolina over DeAngelo Williams. Chester Taylor is indexed as a results of fact the starter over Adrian Peterson. Thomas Jones is indexed as a results of fact the starter over Leon Washington. 1st i could verify the wear record i think of Thomas Jones substitute into harm. If he isn't & each and all the starters are indexed to play i could play Peterson. I stay in MN & they communicate approximately juggling him & Chester Taylor. Plus i think of he's the final of the three & he's larger than Taylor additionally. i don't think of they could take him out on the objective line the two.

That will depend on how he plays and develops as a player. Right now, he is having a phenomenal season. If you average more than six yards a carry, that is pretty damn good. If you watch him, the moves he can make are amazing. He might very well be one of the best rookie running backs ever. I am not certain he will play for more than five to ten seasons. His very physical running style, which leads to yards after contact, will cause him to wear out eventually.
Part of Peterson's success lies on the backs of Minnesota's great offensive line as well. Running behind McKinnie, Birk, and Hutchinson clearly is a lot easier than running behind most lines.

He will demolish records if he is smart and doesnt let money get in the way cuz often when rookies have this kind of season they start wantin more money and they get distracted and dont work out like they should if he can stay healthy then he will smash records along with linebackers and dbs

I dont think he'll 'demolish' anything, the guy is really injury prone...it seems like it will only be a matter of time before the usual knee, shoulder, and back injuries catch up to another running back. Most teams can combat this somewhat by using a dual back system, but most single ran backs in the nfl have something like a 3yr shelf life.

He will be one of the best ever, if not the best period. He may only have 5-6 good years like Earl Campbell though. He will leave a trail of busted up DB's in his wake. He is not the kind of guy who will run out of bounds so he can play for 13 years like Emmitt.

Peterson needs to learn how to read the defenders around him and know when to go out of bounds, or he will get hurt more often. He is still a rookie and with his vision i know he can do this
I don't think he will fade away. I think he will crush records up untill steve hutchinson leaves. then he will lose 50 yards a game.
Steve hutchinson makes a lot of plays for him. to prove it. chester taylor has doubled his Season rush average with steve blocking. look up the stats from when chester was with baltimore and now.
All things set aside.... peterson will go down in history as the 2nd best running back of all time right behind jim brown.

He will demolish records, I am guessing you have not had the luxury to watch him in person, I get to every week, he will not be stopped...once you see him you will understand completely

Time will tell. It always does with these things. The knock on AP is that he gets injured. I hope he stays healthy. He's exciting.
