Check the grand exchange database on the RuneScape website, if you have around 1 mill, find an item around 200k which is rising in price, if you have around 5 mill you can find items around 500k and earn a lot of profit, the trick is to buy a lot of that item while it's still rising then sell it once its up high quickly before it drops back down, i prefer merchanting in bulk, i'd rather buy 250k fire runes rather than 1 santa hat as if the price of the fire runes rises by 4gp you'll earn 1 mill, but the santa hat may just move up a little bit at a time.

1) Varrok west bank (Best for All)
2) Grand Exchange (best for All)
3) Varrok East Bank (best for Armour and Essence)
4) Falador East Bank (best for ore buy/sell)
5) Draynor Bank ( best for logs buy/sell)
6) Lumbridge Bureau (best for noobs stuff)
7) Al-Kharid Bank (best for crafting needs)
8) Varrok Square (minor)
9) Falador West bank (quite hopeless)
10) Nothing else!

The best place to sell things would be at Varrock (Big Bank)

Go to varrock there are hundreds of people at both 2 banks at all time of the day

World 1. It is THE merchants world. Go to varrock, the western bank, and Falador.

The grand exchange in northwest varrok. The exchange actually sells your items for you to anybody looking to buy it on any world.
