Did you believe in Santa as a kid and if so, are you glad or were you pissed when you found out he wasn't real?

My parents always said the moment you say you Don't Believe in Santa, he stops coming to you. My older sister always said she believed (and would never be the mean older sibling telling you differently in case she got caught and he didn't come for her the next year).

I don't have a specific time when I knew for certain, like most people. I don't recall having a sudden realization. I never searched for presents and I still have a stocking and presents wrapped from Santa every year.

I believed in Santa as a kid and I'm glad I had the chance to do so. It added to excitement and anticipation of Christmas. Also, it is a part of childhood that connects us to other children. I wasn't too upset when I found out about Santa not being real. Even now though I believe in the spirit of Santa.

We go through three stages in life:

1. Beliving in Santa.
2. Not beliving in Santa.
3. Being Santa.

Two out of three gets you milk and home-made cookies.

it was fun to believe in him while I did, it made the whole thing more exciting. I still remember the moment my brother showed me where the presents were hidden to prove to me he wasn't real. I wasn't devastated, cause I had suspected a little, but I was kind of disappointed. Stupid brother. Enjoy the magic while you can.
