Jamal Lewis I believe has proven to be the past 3 or so weeks. I also think Steven Jackson is pretty powerful . Now go back in time and Jim Brown and Earl Campbell where some powerful backs. As well as Marion Motley and John Riggins.

Peterson. He is the strongest and the fastest. He has knocked about 7-8 defensive backs out of the game so far this year.

Ryan Grant has the most yards since week 7 of any back. And who says the Packers have no running game? Its fun to watch him break tackles. He doesn't have too many fancy moves. He just makes a cut and slashes down the field, gashing defenses for 100+ yards consistently.
Speaking of breaking tackles, the whole team is great at it. The Packers WRs lead the NFL in yards after catch. They are strong and break tackles like no other team. Maybe it is coaching.
But you asked about RBs. He may not be the biggest bruiser, but Ryan Grant could be a rising star in the NFL. He just gets the job done, breaks tackles and can break one loose at any time. But usually he earns his yards, bouncing off of defenders, or slamming into them. There's a reason why people compare him to Dorsey Levens.
But watching the Packers play this last Sunday, Grant didn't have a good game. Steven Jackson of the Rams did. He's a big strong back. His team lost bad, but he is a tough running back. No fancy moves, just tough running.

i will go with Dylan and say Maurice Jones Drew or Marion Barber. I would say frank gore for sure but he needs a lineman to get him past the line. The i see him blowing people over!
I also back starmark! ryan grant has a lot of hidden skill. he is not afraid to put his head down, run straight at the defender and bounce off him. He gets the job done and in style. as he said hes fun to watch.
Adrian peterson i would in deed say is the "best" running back but not the "strongest" and most "powerful". Peterson gets his skill from his eyes, elusiveness and speed! Not strenth and power!

Maurice Jones Drew or Marion Barber are the 2 strongest.. They run straight up the gut, and just knock linebackers around.
