In many cities around the country, weekend editions of newspapers often have the highest circulation numbers. I was wondering why. Thank You

A) some people are too busy monday through Friday to keep up with the news during the week so getting the newspaper daily isnt worth shelling out money for many..

B) they read the newspaper at work perhaps depending on where they work so they don't have to buy it or they read it daily online..

C) people buy the weekend edition more than anything else because they contain comics, Parade Magazine, coupons, discounts for stores like Fry's and so on..

Its a quick all in one combo paper and advertisement and contains something for everyone..in the family, toys r Us ads and so on....

It's the only edition I buy. I read my local paper's web site the other six days of the week. But, the Sunday edition has a number of word puzzles (cryptograms and crosswords) that I love to do and it keeps my hippocampus from getting clogged, sending me towards Altzheimer's Disease.

They contain the really important things in life: the colored comics, the TV guide, and the entertainment guide. All else is just reality.
