I heard some colleges have dorms called "married dorms". I'm not to sure though, just wondering.

Yes, most schools have some kind of option for married people. There are also a growing number of (mainly small liberal) schools that are allowing students to room with non-spouses of the opposite sex. Just check into the individual housing policy of the school you're interested in.

It most likely varies from college to college. My alma mater UC Davis had dorms with same sex roommates only, and the dorms were also only for freshman. There were on-campus apartments available originally for married couples. Later, they decided that the married student housing discriminated against gay couples who can't marry, so the policy is to allow any two people in a relationship to live there. I knew a guy who pretended to be in a relationship with a girl so that they could take advantage of the "married" housing and its benefits (on-campus, free high speed internet, etc.)

They typically have housing for married students and non-traditional students that is separate from the regular dorms.
