Sure! Talk to your local Christmas tree farm about gift certificates. If you're offering the gift early in the season, give it for this year. If you're giving the gift close to the holiday, then be sure the certificate can be used for next year.
Better yet, make it a gift of an outing together - take your gift recipient to the tree farm or lot and choose it together!
Have fun, and Merry Christmas!

If the intended person for the gift is in need of one. My best friend a few years ago bought me a tree and all the things to go along with it as my old tree had fallen apart and I was having a hard time of things. I appreciated it very much. Yes I would say a very nice present. :)

It would be a bit late for that... And how would you fit it under the other Christmas tree?

I'd liken getting a tree for x-mas, to getting candles for your birthday cake for your birthday present..

no because who wants a christmas tree when they already have one.
and even if they don't they won't be able to use it until next year.

Not if you're Jewish! But they can be expensive so I'd be happy having one as a gift.
