They don't. They are mammals, and need to breath air. It is impossible for a bear to breath underwater, unless you had the guts to get close enough to put scuba gear on it, lol.

Why do you think that they can breath under water?They have being downing because of the lack of ice and have a lot longer distances to swim every year.When the ice is gone ,so will the polar bears.

They don't breath under water. They just hold their breath. Polar bears can remain under water, without coming ashore for up to 60 miles without resting. Just to look for food. They can remain under water for up to 2 minutes b4 having to surface.

They hold their breath if they go below the surface. They don't have gills, but they do have webbed feet and dual skin systems so they can keep warm in the cold water. They can swim 40 miles a day and are considered one of the best animal swimmers.

No, they don't breathe under water. They just hold they breath while they are diving ...... just like what we do in swimming pools. But they can hold they breath longer than we do so they have enough time to catch their food.

They get a couple bottles of Coke Cola, then shake them up, then when they under water, they open them and breath in the bubbles quicky.
