I think that was very nice of Mark Burnett to give Denise money...it seems like her life got worse once she got back...hopefully she will put it to good use!!!

I think it was great of the show to give Denise the money. Hopefully she will use it to help herself get a better education and job in life. Was also glad James was voted the most liked. Good luck to Denise and James!!!!

I thought that was the nicest and greatest thing! Denise did so well on Survivor and overcame a lot of things. She was older than most of the contestants and a bit chubbier (I can relate as a plus size gal), so the physical challenges may not be quite as easy for her. Also, she managed to stay friends with everyone and worked hard around the camp. She seems like a great person and I hope the money helps her to reach her dreams.

Yes, I agree. I was hoping either she or James would win the $100 grand as most popular. She can definitely use the money to improve her family's financial situation and possibly give her better long-range job opportunities.
Just a note to the person who mentioned that she might find something more satisfying than being a lunch lady...any job can be satisfying depending on your attitude and perspective.

I wish her the best of luck. Janitorial services aren't the best jobs there and hopefully, she can take that money and go back to school to train for a nicer job with a nicer salary.

I think that it is a very generous random act of kindness and it sets a good example for other shows and for the entertainment industry in general. I hope that she uses it to upgrade herself just like doglover says. Maybe this was meant to be and she can do something much more satisfying and lucrative than lunch lady.

Hopefully she will use the money to expand her martial arts school and be successful as a small business owner. I do think both she and James deserved to get those awards-they are truly nice people.
