In general your funds are not instantly available. They may credit some small amount that is instantly available ($200 or so).

Now, use your common sense and think about why they might do that. You could (I'm not saying you would...) deposit a blank piece of paper and tell them that it is a $1000 check. If they let you take the $1000 instantly and then discover that it is only a blank piece of paper then they are out $1000. As a courtesy to their customers they might be willing to risk $200 on a transaction. Since they have no way of determining if you are really making a deposit they don't credit your account right away.

Hope that helped.

good luck!

It depend on which Bank your talking about. Like for example.
Me and my mother have account in 2 different Bank. When I deposit a check of like 500$, I could draw 200$ right away. And take the rest, The next day.But in my mother's case. She have to wait 24 hour of the work days, To draw from the deposited check.

Your better off waiting till Monday..most banks only let you have access to the first $100. If you are depositing to clear a check, the deposit won't cover it..
