I'm sensing this as a negative.
Sand candles were very popular years ago. They were made by pouring the candle wax into a sand base formed in varying molds. They could be any size . Some were gigantic with several wicks meant ti take up nearly an entire table top.

The last I saw was in the craft department at walmart and yes I think they do still make them or the kits so you can make them yourself

We make sand candles at the summer camp I work at. The kids have fun making them and it's kind of a traditional craft there. I'm not sure if it's the same thing you're talking about though, because they aren't very fancy or anything.
