I think of teens and early 20's as slaves to electronics, can't survive for a few hours with an electronic device.
The thirties are getting more settled, beginning to raise families, and discovering what real life is actually like.
The 40'2 are sometimes the age of discontent, where people realize that their youth is gone and they didn't do everything they wanted to do before life became so complicated.

1. Teens = punk rockers
2. 20 - 30 year olds - just starting out with a family & new home.
3. 40 year olds = successful business men in 3 piece suits on Wall Street.
Of course there are numerous Stereotypes - it will depend upon whom you ask, and what region of the country they live in. We all have different ideas of stereotypes! CJ

Teens: lost souls
20-30's- still lost but trying to make a statement
30's-40's-some are finding that all life is not buttered bread and are trying hard to make it better. some are still lost
40's-50's-know what they are about for the most part, want and do use understanding to help themselves and others when possible, some are still lost.
50's-60's-well set up to face all the challenges the world throws at them and have developed a base of friend on whom they can trust and rely on to help in times of adversity-some are still lost and always will be.
Just an opinion.

Teens -- Hormonal
20-30 -- Somewhat settled funsters, stepping into things over
their heads.
30-50 -- playing catchup with previous mistakes and making some gains in life's game -- some degree of success
50-60 -- the die is cast pretty much settled and satisfied with life
60 until -- living with what you've made for yourself, over the hill to the old folks poor house or in the mansion of the golden parachutists (or something in between).

Teens? No solid work ethic and they'll all be deaf from those boom boxes!
20 - 30? Boomeranging ... can't make it so they run back to mama.
40's? Sorry, I tend to think of them more as peers and can't think of a stereotype ... they are all different with their own talents.
