I would need more details. if there will be adults around and NO alcohol then I would think it should be ok for you to go.

I think it's fair that she wants you to be with family this year. Invite yor friend to your house to make a change.

no its not fair. but you should think about how your mom looks at it from. she wants you to spend the holidays with your family is that alot to ask? besides ask if you can make an appearance with your family for like an hour or so then you can go hang out with you friends. my mom is like that all the time. you just have to negotiate with her.

No, I don't think its terribly fair. But you should spend the holidays with your family. You have like 360 other days you can spend with your friends..at LEAST save the holidays for your family.

I'm 15 and I get invited to parties.
Not one have I been able to go too.
Because, my parent's can be judgmental and they think all teens are well untrustworthy.
Do I complan?
Of course not, because once I hit 18. I can do whatever I want :D
3 more years is all it is, so what's the rush? :]

unless she has a reason to be concerned I dont think its fair.
if the place your going to is going to have drunk adults and/or kids then I can understand why. you are getting older, peer pressure is a big thing.

Since you go every other year I would think that she is being unfair unless you got into trouble and this is your punishment.

Did she give you any reasons? You should ask her what her reasons are and then assess whether they are fair or not.
