you now get a spread offense which can be used to defeat Ohio St plus now maybe the spread wont hurt you so much because your defense will now see it everyday in practice.
plus you might now get Terrelle Pryor the nations top recruit.

yea Mallett looked like a good talent.......wouldnt it be crazy if he transfered to Ohio St or some other Big Ten school and just came back and whooped on Michigan.

I'm happy about the possibilities that hiring Coach Rod brings to the UM program. Sounds like his style is dramatically different from what we as fans have been used to seeing on the field; but in this case, something "dramatically different" is our best-case scenario.
It will be interesting to see what happens with Ryan Mallett. I like him and I think he could've been a great Michigan QB. I hope he stays on -- he could STILL be a great Michigan QB. It will depend on a lot of factors, though.
Overall, I'm pleased. Yes, "happy," even!

I feel bad for Ryan Mallet...I thought he would be a good QB for them the next couple years but he wont be able to run the spread so they will need to look for a new QB to run that system
