Become a vegetarian
if you wont give up meat i recommend you start walking and eventually start running ( You will learn to love it)
Stop eating processed foods if you are going to have cookies then make them you're self.
Eat breakfast - Buy some instant oat meal if you don't have time
Write down what you eat - You will then learn what you are missing and will stop you from eating so much
If you drink soda STOP
Watch you're portions - When you fill you're plate put half of what you think you want. If you are not satisfied put more
Eat a small salad before every meal so you wont be starving when you eat
Do not skip meals
Eat whole grain everything
Allow you're self a TASTE of cake or ice cream, so you wont feel deprived
Find alternatives to every food for example instead of a hamburger try a veggie burger on whole grain bread(add alot of lettuce, pickes, onions etc)
Drink alot of water

Well I must say first and foremost.. Do not compare this woman to your "ex"in any way, shape or form. I know that is easier said than done..:o).. As far as the weight issue goes.. You must determine if it a health issue, or is it a 'looks' issue with you. I agree men are very visual in all aspects of their like and relationships are no different. Is she dressing to accentuate the positives of her 'curvy' body or is she just wearing clothing that doesn't flatter her figure as much? This can be a huge thing even for you, as it is a visual aspect. Does she have the energy to go out and do the things you like now? If not, then that is a huge relationship concern altogether.. Is she comfortable with herself? Has she always had the weight? If so, then what attracted you to her to begin with, and why now has it become an issue (maybe a 'friend' said something??)?? You need to determine the 'why' then you can move into 'how' to deal, as each why will have a different 'how'..

Honey, [ I'm trying to be nice, not condescending ] you cannot loose that much weight that quickly without getting very ill.
Your goal should be one or two pounds a week, which would take 35 to 70 weeks [ about 12 to 16 months ].
Be safe - eat sensibly, and start moving!
1] cut out all fried, fast, and junk food - even diet junk food
2] drink 1/2 gallon of water a day
3] take a good quality vitamin with minerals every day
4] eat three sensible meals, and two 100 calorie snacks a day [ piece of fruit, 4 ounce yogurt, etc. ]
5] meals should have one serving each of: lean protein, whole grain bread/cereal/rice/pasta, and two servings of veg, fruit, or veg and fruit. If still hungry at end of meal; drink a glass of water, then eat more VEGGIES!
6] do aerobic exercise for 30 minutes, six days a week - walk, dance, swim, etc; or do housework [ vacuuming ] or yardwork [ raking ].
7] weight lifting three days a week - increase muscle mass, which uses more calories, and tones body!
8] do three sets each of 10 reps of pushups, situps, obliques, and crunches daily.
I have done this for a month, and have already lost over 10 pounds.
Good luck!

First of all, what you need to remember is to stay healthy. Having a good attitude towards yourself, exercise, and eating right will help you lose weight.
Begin by walking twice a day, even short walks like 10 or 15 minutes help burn calories. Each pound of fat is 3,500 calories, so you can moniter all the calories you burn by using calorie calculators like the one found at http://www.healthstatus.com/calculate/cbc
Once you can walk vigorously, try jogging a few of the minutes as well. Before you know it, I promise, you'll be running a couple miles a day.
Eating right isn't as hard as it seems, if you plan your meals out ahead of time. For me it's easy to just order take out, etc, when I'm hungry and tired, but if I plan out the meal ahead, I'm less likely to eat pizza, etc. Try to keep your metabolism up by eating 5 to 6 times a day, and keep your calorie intake at about 1,500 calories. Eliminating soda, sweets, excess sodium, and fancy coffees will take care of many calories.
Drink lots of H2O! It keeps you full, and hydrated, which will make it easier to exercise. Plus, with all the water, you'll be making more trips to the rest room, which has to burn a couple calories. :)
Journaling what you eat and how you feel when you do eat, when you exercise, and that type of thing will also target weaknesses and strengths about your regime.
I hope these tips help. Most of all though, remember being healthy doesn't have to be specific weight. Best of luck!

1)start weight lifting 3 times a week. cardio only causes you to burn calories at the time of doing, but weightlifting causes growth of muscle with leads to faster metabolism
2) make a chart/schedule of when you go to the gym and all that. do crunches and push ups at home. it's easier to do a set of ten crunches, then a set of ten pushups, then a set of crunches. do 3-4 sets of each and then every week increase the number of sets.
3) start counting calories. eat less fried foods. less eat carbs. eat more salads and cottage cheese and fruits. snacks = fruit, meals = wheat, veggies and low fat meat
4)you gotta stay consistent!!!! get a buddy or someone that you'll have to answer too. wake up and run, crunches before bed. drink LOTS of water throughout the day, it'll make you less hungry for food.
5) weigh yourself every week and keep track of it on your schedule and calendar. once you see improvements, you'll be more motivated to stick with it.
6) believe in yourself and think about the consequences if you dont make this change now. you have to stay consistent, once you start it's easy to keep going, once you quit its easy to give up. just push yourself. nothing unhealthy like bulimia and anorexia.
i lost 36 lbs in 4 months last year doing this. so GOOD LUCK =)

Put your game face on.
Here is what you exaclty do...
You need to commit 100%...
DIET- no fatty foods. You need a LOT
of water. Only drink water. No cany bars,
ice-cream- NOTHING! Fruits and veggies
and lean meats (fish, chicken) SMALL portions.
EXERCISE: Sit-ups 24/7. Untill you cant move!
Run/walk/jog! EVERYDAY! Treadmill... whatever!
Get a membership at a weight loss center or gym...
and GO!!! Be active, NO tv. Swim whatever.
ALWAYS stay moving!
And dont give up! The pounds WILL shed... maybe not
at first but stick with it... I promise. Diet and exercise
and genetics are the causes of obesity.
YOU can controll your DIET and PHYSICAL ACTIVITY!
2 out of 3 isnt bad.
Good luck... you got it!

Cut out all of the excess sugars. Eat lots of fresh greens, fruit, and complex carbs. Most importantly, excercise. Find something you like whether that be a video, walking around the block, dancing to music everyday, or doing yoga.
Also, weigh yourself everyday if you can. Studies have shown that people who weigh themselves every day weigh less because they're more conscious about what they put into their bodies.

70 lbs in 5 months is a bit tough, but seriously try Power 90. It's a set of tapes or dvds that have exercises and I believe they also have recommendations for diets. I lost 27lbs in 90 days and about 6 inches off my waist.

you need a lifestyle change.
start out by eating proper food. cut junk foods and sugars completely out of your diet. then excersize regularly. it doesnt have to be a million situps a day. it could just be 30 minutes of jogging/walking a day.
