The OEM pads are very good, but I prefer and recommend the brake pads that come from Australia. The reason being that the original Mercedes pads (like all Euro brake pads) build up dust too quickly and keep the wheels dirty. The Australian pads from Axxiss work the best. They are quiet, dust free and last as long as the original Euro pads. Your wheels will stay cleaner. Front pads for a 300E are around $40-50 with a discount. I wouldn't use any other look-alike pads from any other manufacturer. Also, remember that your brake fluid need to be flushed and changed every two years to prevent premature corrosion of caliper pistons and master cylinder Happy Motoring!!!
