Also sometimes it hangs up on browsing ending all windows and i have to restart again. Please help.

Martin G has a good answer. Your internet provider probably offers a free antivirus package. If not, there are several good free ones available. Check cnet.com for reviews. Also, for spyware only, Yahoo Toolbar includes a great spyware tracker and remover. To prevent future issues, install Spyware blaster, which automatically blocks known spyware from being installed.

The best way is to get the hard disk reformatted and use a compatible anti virus. To avoid recurrence never run on the Internet but save,scan, and open!

You may need to use a barrage of anti adware and anti spyware software. You could check the Http://www.download.com security center for some good security software. This may help you.

Spyware will not be detected in safe mode. So disconnect from the net and clean your PC. Try process explorer as well. It helps.

Download a proper anti virus like AVG from Grisoft, also download HijackThis and it will tell you your problems. Sorry cant help you with removal if I don't know what you're infected with.

yeah, that happened to me. I was too lazy to try anti-virus programs, so i just reformatted my computer and reinstalled my programs, it gives a "fresh, clean feel" to your computer. no viruses!
