In addition to what Blubabe_85 said,"Good Burger" only became a hit after it was released on VHS and DVD (the DVD sales were more than enough to make back the cost of the movie...it was in Billboard's Top 20 Home Video Sales chart for nearly eight months as I recall--in the top ten for at least four).
It is now among Paramount's best selling back catalog DVD titles, alongside "Grease" and "Clueless".

It failed with the critics, but developed a cult following amongst fans worldwide as it made a (profit) of nearly $15,000,000
That's pretty succesful to me (economically) especially since it was developed from a short "All That" sketch
Box Office
The film was released on July 25, 1997 and had a budget of $9,000,000. It opened in 5th place with $7,058,333 and in total, the film earned $23,712,993 in the US & Canada alone, making a tidy profit. The film has since then developed a cult following.

Not really it opened up in 5th place and only made $7,058,333 in total which didn't even surpass the movie's costs. It had some funny parts but us kids only went to see it cause we liked ALL THAT so much..lol.
