I'm going to hearst castle in a few weeks and was wondering if there are any good shops in or around san simeon/cambria.

In cambria's main strip there's pretty good shops and restaurants.

sorry there is absolutely zero shopping around san simeon. you would have to go down to Cambria for even any sort of shopping, but the town is super small. the closest town with shopping is San Luis Obispo, which is approximately a 45 min drive south and it has all sorts of places like gap& Banana Republic, and lots of cute local boutiques like Avanti, Ambiance,
there is also an outlet center in Pismo Beach.
