lol, I did the same thing yesterday, posted a question twice. Senior moment.
Regular hot dinner here with all the trimmings, buffalo pot roast with roasted carrots, parsnips and potatoes and gravy; roasted sweet potatoes, Waldorf salad, swedish hardbread, and whatever my daughter is bringing, I forgot what I told her, her new ginger biscuits I think, and whatever else she wants. My mom in law will bring dessert, and we will also have ice cream. Hot cider and iced tea.
Christmas morning is freshly made cinnamon rolls and cappucino. What a way to start the day!

If your house is air-conditioned then a hot dinner dosen't really matter, if it's outside and a hot day then cold buffet is the way to go. I like the sound of your mudcrabs/prawns etc even add mussells on the BBQ would be nice.
Have a great one what ever you decide and really enjoy the festive season!

We do a hot dinner for Christmas since the weather here is cold. We usually have ham, mash potatos & gravy, deviled eggs, baked beans, a veggie, homemade hot rolls and dessert. If it were hot weather the cold seafood buffet would be wonderful.I love seafood, I hope you all enjoy your day.

Australian Christmas = Hot Summer = Cold Buffet
Northern Hemisphere Christmas = Cold = Hot Food
Not traditional?.... do what u like... Having a roast for Xmas in the summer (I think) is silly....who wants to make the house any hotter than it already is by turning the oven on??

It will be a hot Christmas dinner with most of the trimmings. I will be cooking the whole dinner my self for my parents and my daughter and maybe her boyfriend. I am sure hoping that some more of the family comes over as well.

That sounds wonderful! We have a traditional dinner for the cold weather, beef and pork roast, potatoes, gravy, red cabbage, and birthday cake to celebrate my sisters birthday.

Hey, I can go for cold buffet style! :-) We, in fact are dispensing with so-called traditional fare this year and having picnic food..bbq ribs, chicken, corn, baked beans, green beans, cornbread, seafood salad, potato salad
