i have a wii but im just not sure wether i have to buy the wii play game to get a mii becoz i hav mario party 8 and somebody said that i can use miis as my character.
can somebody please tell me if i need to buy wii play and how to use a mii as a mp8 character

uhm, no you dont need wii play at all to get the mii channel because the mii channel is already there when you hav the wii. I have over 70 miis already. You must have the mii channel already in your wii, everybody has it when they get the a wii, it comes with the wii.
And to use a mii in mp8, you must make a mii first of coure, then go to extras zone, when you are choosing your character, choose to use a mii instead of a mp8 character, k. Then you can play the games in the extra zones with your mii.

No, It comes with the wii and it's just right next to the disc channel. On Mario Party 8 when you play a extras zone games the mario characters Appear then a section saying mii below it. It might not be there if you haven't made the wii. I'm not critisizing you I think you have a wii.

mii is something that comes with the Wii. it has it's own channel. Wii play is just a game that uses the mii you have on your Wii console. it is like Wii Sports with different mini games and it comes with a wiimote too if you need another wiimote.
