My husband says that I will we 85 years old running behind him with a can holding a bottle of little blue pills. LoL. Do you think that you will love them just as much as you do now when you are old and gray?

"...85 years old running behind him with a can holding a bottle of little blue pills."

Are ya sure? I think you may have overheard MY husband telling ME that. LOL!

Yep, I'm sure that I'll still love that pain in my azz. ♥ Although, I do sometimes jokingly threaten to trade him in for a newer model. HA!

Good question. I wish I could answer it! (Although I'm not married, I think about my future with my boyfriend.)

I know several husband/wifes that have been married for 30 years and are just now considering divorce. Their kids are grown and out of the house and they are retiring and spending more time together...which is apparently a bad thing!

On the other hand, I know two couples that have been together for more than 30 years and they're still happy and still snuggle and hold hands, etc. That's what I hope for!

I think marriage starts out filled with passion. Then you get bored and discover yourself and the things that you really enjoy. In your 40's you have a mid life crisis and almost divorce. Then you decide to stay together for your kids. After that you realize that you don't want to die alone so you finally except your spouse and live happily ever after. I am still in the self discovery phase and am not looking forward to the mid life crisis, but hopefully we can struggle through it. Marriage is a choice.. it is easy to walk away but difficult to stay and make it work.

I'm afraid that I might. Right now I can't stand my spouse and I already think that we will fall into the common trap that once the kids leave, my spouse and I will have no reason to remain under the same roof. Sad but true!

Absolutely. We are making plans for the distant future because we are planning to be together until "death do us part". We take our vows and love for one another very seriously! 5 years down and a life time to go!
