Anything specific for snowboarding/skiing.
What's a good and semi cheap website I can look at for it?
Sorry, I live in phoenix, 17 years old, my friends and I are going north to the snow. They all snowboard/ski, I've never been snowboarding or skiing.

Layers of thin clothing are always warmer than 1 thick layer, a "Goretex" outer layer with tight cuffs and a waist band will allow a comfortable day without snow in the back or sweating inside. Mittens rather than gloves are warmer, just don't look as "cool".
Allow warm up time for you, take a lesson package, and ice your muscles afterwards. No amount of pre season conditioning will strengthen all of the new muscles you will use when sliding on snow. After an hour or so of cold treatment, then the social hour should begin. These are social sports as much as snow sports. Enjoy yourself and the new friends you will meet, and renew old friendships. Jim.

You need a short jacket, warm gloves, ski or snow boarding pants, a helmet and goggles. Make sure the jacket has elastic at the sleeves and the bottom and/or at the waist to keep the snow from going up your back when you wipe out. Same goes for the wrists of the gloves. If you're going someplace really cold, a balaclava or some sort of necK/face protection is good too. A good pair of ski socks is also a good idea. They'll keep your feet warm but will also minimize and discomfort from the boots.

Do not buy from a ski shop if you can help it. Check out some deals on discontinued stuff at places like amazon.com. See below for some examples. Avoid really cheap gear...you'll be cold, wet and miserable.
