This team has been Awful in recent years. Do you have respect for this team now that they are currently 9-5? How do you feel?

Growing up in cleveland i've been a fan ever since i remembered. No one ever respected our team but i think people have always respected browns fans, just cause you have to be a true fan to stick with a team that's been bad for so long.
Each year we as browns fans live and die with our brownies... that's why a season like this means so much to us... we're finally living large.

Respect has always been a huge thing for browns fans... good question, i hope we're changing people's prespectives this year.

They did get some new personnel this year and they did help. But, I don't think that is the big difference.

Injuries!! They got a top tight end in Winslow. Oops. Gone to injury. Same with Edwards. Oops. Gone to injury. Browns fans will remember them signing QBs during the season just to have someone who had thrown the thing before. I'd look at the injury list and count the TEAM that had close to as many players out.

I had respect for them in the injuries years just for not smelling up the field too badly. Now, a little of what they are showing is what they could have done if almost all of the 1st team had been on the field.

According to about everyone in the media and most fans, by this point of the season Crennel was going to be fired, Quinn would be the starting QB and the club would be taking steps to an improved 2008-2009. This is an absolutely phenominal season which could find them winning the division. This is a team that is poised to be a solid championship contender in the next couple of years.

the difference between this year and all the other years is that now the browns have a dynamic offense. most of that is due to the play of derek anderson by utilizing some pretty athletic guys like braylon edwards and kellen winslow jr. off season acquisitions like joe thomas, eric steinbach, and jamal lewis have all been key components to this offense. defense is a little shaky, but when youre offense is that good, defense can afford to make some errors.

Happy for them. They are a great tradition team, no purple tights, just supposed to be old fashioned football. Glad to see that Savage and Crennel did have a plan. I'm a Bengals fan...but unlike the how i feel for the Baltimore GAYvens and the Squeelers, I always kinda liked the Browns.

I have never respected the Browns. After I had to visit Cleveland 6 years ago I could feel sorry for them.

yeah. Hope they can do the same for next season. They are playing pretty good and are really scaring the Steelers right now.
