What will I need to make my Wii go on the internet?

I am getting a Wii for Christmas and I do not know much about how to hook it up to the internet. For example; I am going to want to purchase some games on the virtual console. Is the internet wireless; or do I need something to hook it up to it? Thanks for the help! :)

You need to get a router or a usb lan conection. A router is probbley the way to go since you can have your Wii any were in your house (preferably in an open area were you can swing away and not hit anything). If you get the usb lan conection you have to have a wire connect from the lan line hub to your modem.

All you need is a wireless internet connection or a nintendo wi-fi adapter it was simple to set up you just need to go to wii options then connection setting click connection one then wireless or nintendo wi-fi then find your connection click on it and type in the WEP key if you have one if not then just skip that step and voila you're online

the wii is wireless but you have to have wireless conection or local connection..........is better if its wireless...but yea the wii does come wireless
