My computer is a Dell Inspiron 9300 laptop. It did NOT come with a reinstallation disc.

Ok Reboot Your Computer And Look At The Bottom Of Your Screen For A Word That Says F10 System Recovery If It Says That Then Push The F10 Button On Your Keyboard And The Computer Should Automatically Go Into System Restore Where You Have The Option To Restore Your Computer To Factory Settings Just Like When You Bought It Ok And Follow Through The Steps

If the system restore doesn't work which it should i would suggest using your restore cd's that came with your computer but u will loose all data.

ok, restart your comp, and then when its starting up and says dell, hold down shift and f-11 it will erase everything on the comp, and restore it to how it was the day you bought it, its called PC RESTORE (NOT system restore)

Then how you got your OS in the first place? Dell offers excellent service. Go to them.
