As mentioned above Fiona Horne is an Aussie Witch who has celebrity status, also Wendy Rule who is a Witch who is a very talented musician and song writer/singer..
When Wendy goes on stage she opens a circle, and her performance is awesome, and all her songs have a Wiccan origin, she is also an Aussie from Melbourne..
Janet Farrar and Gavin Bone are very much in the lime light and travel extensively doing workshops, they are English, but I think from memory they live in either Ireland or Wales..
Blessed Be.. )O(

What about Orson Wells and the entire mercury theater cast being wiccans? This would include Vincent Price and Roger Corman, up to and including jack Nicholson. Not to mention the Beatles and every one of the Rolling Stones and most of the early Heavy Metal masters like Alice Cooper and Black Sabbath. No lists of celebrity wiccans seem to mention any of these people.

It has been rumored that singer Stevie Nicks of Fleetwood Mac tends to gravitate towards Wicca. Alot of her songs are about Witches (most popular of her songs referencing this is "Rhiannon"). While Stevie professes NOT to be Wiccan, her own music label is Welsh Witch and she repeatedly dresses the part of a Witch (Rhiannon).

Also, years ago there was a TV series called "Friday the 13th" and the female star of the show Louise Robey (who played Micki Foster) professed to practicing Wicca/Witchcraft.

Have a lovely rest of the evening. Bright Blessings.

Laurie Cabot, the "Official" Witch of Salem, Mass, comes to mind. As does Janet and the late Stewart Farrar. They're authors who live in England. Gerald Gardner, who is credited with creating the Wicca we know today. Raymond Buckland who studied under Mr. Gardner, who is credited with bringing Wicca to America. Silver Ravenwolf, another author. All are somewhat celebrity, altho Ms. Cabot is more visual than the others. She offers classes and such in Salem.

Anne Rice is not a witch or a wiccan she is a Christian... http://www.annerice.com/

However Willam Blake was an Occultist...

Also Alice Walker ( author of the color purple) says she is a witch.

Margot Adler (an reporter for national public radio) compiled "drawing down the moon" a book explaining the different paths of paganism

Faruiza Balk (actress)

Suly Erna (singer for godsmack)

Cybill Shepard (sitcom & Movie actress)
came out as a witch at the Golden globe awards 1995

Brigitte Neilson (actress)

Terry Pratchett (author of discworld series of novels)

There are in all likelyhood many more, however coming out of the broom closet for the famous is tricky business. Many famous people (esp actors & actressess) feel that if they reveal too much about themselves, then they run the risk of de-mystifying themselves. Thus making it impossible for thier fans & their audience to suspend disbelief. If the audience or fan knows too much they may see the actor as a person and not as the character they are portraying. Also the famous may not wish to alienate their audience who may have opposing beliefs. At one time marriage was considered "box office poison" comming out of the broom closet may present some form of box office poison as well...
