I have a NETGEAR RangeMax Wireless Router (WPN824) and when i hook it up and follow the directions on the disk it doesn't work it will react and connect and then disconnect and keep doing that repeatedly. What do i do to fix it?

that happends all the time. try disconnecting the modem, and doing the whole thing over again, until u find a proper connection.

Those of you who said change the antenna direction: the rangemax has internal antennas, so... that's not going to work out. It actually has several pointing in different directions, so I don't think that's the problem. As for changing the channel, routers use 11 different channels to connect with. Yours is probably on channel 6, and changing it to 1 or 11 will help reduce interference. Uh. Although I don't know how to change the channels... I've been googling it for ages so my Wii can connect to the internet and I haven't found anything yet.. Your best bet is to get a notebook adapter that you plug into your laptop. It increases the Wifi, so it can pick up signals better and from further away. I had a huge problem with getting my laptop to work upstairs, but I got one of those and now it works perfect.

It sounds like your desktop doesn't have a wireless card installed.
