I'm on my third week of one of my pill packs. I'm going on vacation soon and I was planning on skipping my placebo pills and just starting a new pack, to try and skip my period.

The thing is, I've got my period right now, even though I'm not really "supposed" to because I'm taking the white pills with hormones in them right now.

Normally I'm afraid about skipping periods because I don't want spotting or anything, but I was thinking, if I have my period now, could that mean maybe there's less chance of me spotting when I skip my placebo pills next week, since all the blood's leaving now?

Yes, you should have less of a chance of spotting when you skip the placebos next week but I would recommend checking with your doctor as well to see what they say.
