its a bowl that catches an eye when it falls out-- really I hope this is not a real question because eyedroppers have been around for longer than I'm alive and I'm 65. Its the glass or plastic piece in a small bottle to put either drops in eyes or in ears or noses.

No silly girl! An eye dropper (two words) is an instrument used to put eye drops in the eyes. It is a small glass tube with a rubber syringe type thingy on the top! Squeeze the rubber thingy and it will suck up the drops. Hold very carefully, place over open eye near bottom eye lid, pinch the rubber syringe type thingy and you have drops in your eyes! This is used for medicinal purposes only.
