All of my friends are going to a differnet high school than me next year. I'm not an extremely outgoing person. What would be a good way for me to make new friends without feeling totally out of my comfort zone?

That has to be very hard for you, to go to another school then you other friends are. But the best way to make friends, if you treat everybody nice, and they will do the same to you. And it wouldn't hurt for you to keep contract with your old friends. You can join join clubs/actives that intrest you, even in the years after high school, you could be very disappointed in the things that you did, or didn't do that you would have liked to do when you were. And I bet the 4 years will go by fast, so make as many friends as you can, and sometimes they might not always work out, where you might part ways after high school, and onto different things, such as work, or college. Good luck in High School, and hopefully you will enjoy your time in High School, and maybe even make it one of your proudest moments of your life.

If you don't already, log on to facebook and join your new high schools network so you can meet boys and girls in your grade and find out who shares the same interests as you. Once school starts, just be friendly to everyone you meet, so then they like you and you become a person people want to be friends with.

Don't worry. Everyone will be in the same boat as you. They'll be nervous too because nobody will know anyone.

Sit somewhere with other people at lunch. Start talking will someone in one of your classes. Maybe they'll have the same lunch period as you.

Good luck. You'll make friends. Don't worry.
