I have heard that it is the elephant, but what about the hippo?

But what about a croc or an alligator? There is no way they can truly "jump" since there is such a wide space between front and back legs, so much body mass in front of their back legs and I would think their legs are fairly weak given their body size (when they walk, their legs do not support their full body weight, they drag their mid section on the ground).

Pretty sure there are many 4 legged animals that cannot jump (ie. cannot get all 4 legs off the ground at the same time).

Hmm.... I think an elephant may even be able to jump, they just don't because nature has never required them to. I think the Hippo is the only one I can name for sure.

Elephant cannot jump. If you ever get a chance to look at the bone structure, you will note that the elephant is already standing on its toes - the foot only appears to be flat. Very interesting adaptation.

Elephant is likely right - I'd imagine the hippo would have problems too.

I thought the turtle initially.
