Ok, here's my question. I have curly hair, but until i was about 10 i had stick straight hair. My mom has straight hair, and my dad has wavy.... but that's not the point... anyways, i don't understand how i had striaght hair and all of a sudden it curled... its not even like wavy, its COMPLETELY CURLY!
does it have anything to do w/ the crossing-over of chromosomes during meiosis?

It doesn't have to do with crossing over. If that happened, or the gene was mutated it would have manifested itself immediately.

Hair isn't a constant, like say. skin color. Remember, each time your hair grows its NEW. Things like hormones probably can change it. Also, you hear about people that shave their heads and it grows back differently.

Maybe you saw something that made your hair curl. Sorry, just kidding. I don't think it has to do with genes changing, I would say that you were genetically programmed to have straight hair until age ten, and curly hair afterwards.

Hi. It really doubt that the gene expressed due to anything (except maybe hormones).

Hair is just , all the waste going out your body, so if it grows straight out thats ok. but if it curls out you should check out what's wrong with you.
