I've discovered a friend of mine is homophobic and it really bothers me that she is so judgemental. She likes my hair and asked me to tell her where I go. I told her and she asked me if my hairdresser was gay. I said yes, and she said she would never go to a gay hairdresser as a Christian.
I find her judgemental and bigotted attitude the lsat straw in what has slowly become a waning friendship. I no longer attend church. I think the church needs to love more and hate less.
I'm really confused but at the same time I feel like I don't want to be friends with someone like this anymore.
P.S. I have family members who are gay that I love very much and I am very proud of them.
Your thoughts?

Just because some people don't like the gay lifestyle doesn't mean they necessarily dislike gay people. I know I don't hate any of the gay people I have met. I do think your friend was a little extreme in the comment though. Just saying here is that you can like someone but not like what they are doing.

As you said, the friendship is slowly waning. I suggest you just let it die. There's almost never a reason to just come out and say "I don't want to be friends anymore." Just let the friendship die. Don't hang out with her, don't engage in conversation, but there's no reason to be rude. Just let it die.
