Um, perhaps it occurs on whatever day 4th July falls on an annual basis - and as for the Independence Day celebrations: I do believe the Americans enjoy their fireworks and whatnot, but being an Aussie myself, I'm not sure if this is fabricated for TV or actual reality.

I have to assume you mean what day of the week it is , as you already have the date. The 4th of July is on Friday in 2008

It's one of the few holidays that is actually celebrated on the day itself. Most other American Holidays "Float" to the Monday of the week containing the Holiday. So American Independence Day is always on July 4

It's usually on July 5th, but it comes early in 2008 because Saturn is in the house of Jupiter, so it's on July 3rd next year.
