I was just thinking up some Science Fiction scenarios and this came to mind.

What would the earth look like afterwards? What could cause them to collide?

Or if a rogue planet came and hit the moon/earth like in the movie when worlds collide

If the moon hit the Earth, both would be destroyed into billions of chunks.
At the moment of impact, that half of the Earth would be vaporized (the moon is about 1/4 the diameter of the Earth).
The molten interior of the Earth (which is under pressure) would either shoot into space immediately, or would cause the rest of the Earth to blow up from explosive decompression.
The shock wave of the moon hitting the Earth would shatter the crust around the world, the oceans would evaporate into steam, and both objects would be a huge mass of debris orbiting the sun.
If the impact was at a low speed, some of the debris of the collision may stay close enough so that it coalesces over hundreds of thousands of years into another planet, but much of the debris would end up in different orbits (closer to or farther from the sun).
Nothing and no one would survive (not even bacteria).

The collision would wipe out everything on Earth and would no doubt cause volcanism to occur on the scale as when the early Earth was hit by a Mars sized object and it caused the Moon to form to begin with. It would no doubt reform over time just as it did before. The debris would reform into a new Moon after a relatively short period of time.
.
About the only thing that could cause it to collide with Earth would be another such occurrence where it was caused by some sort of collision. The Moon is actually moving away from the Earth at a rate of three centimeters a year. It was at one time much much closer and caused daily tides on the scale of tsunamis. The Moon is necessary to present life of Earth because it's presence stabilizes the planet's rotation. Without it, the north pole would wobble and cause huge seasonal changes.

An develop within the Earths gravity could reason the moon to collide with it. For this to arise the Earths mass and density could ought to develop so could be very not likely. The moon might get whacked by means of a comet or whatever and fall out of orbit. The moon was once probably made from the debrie of an earth affect.

The Moon has collided with the Earth. About 4.5 - 5 billion years ago.
It's now moving away slowly. In your story, to be feasible, you might make the collision as part of a cycle of collisions, like bouncing off each other. That would be a reason for them to collide. Or a very large asteroid, say 500km across, could impact with the moon. and upset its orbit. A rogue planet could buzz past close to the Moon, and disrupt its orbit. I can't see what else would cause it to crash.

If the moon landed in the ocean it would make a little splash and then just float there.. Just kidding!! That wouldn't happen. If it hit the ocean all the water would wash over all the land of the earth, miles high. Then all the magma would come out of the earth all over the place, pretty much what everyone else said would happen. The earth would be unrecognizable and unlivable for millions of years. Maybe in 50 years or so we will have space telescopes powerful enough to be able to see this sort of event happen in some distant solar system.

It is pretty hard to imagine anything that could make them collide. If something big enough to move either out of orbit, most likely they would both go off in some other direction, but would not collide.

it would be pretty hard for a the moon and the earth t collide seeing that the moon is moving away from the earth but if it did happen both the moon and the planet would completely be destroyed. no question about it. what would be left... rocks. "astroid material".

basically a very large asteroid, or several asteroids would need to collide with the moon to change its characteristics (size), and change its gravitational pull, and consequently disrupt its normal path of orbit.
Or another science fiction scenario would be the sun becoming a massive supergiant star (as it ages in the distant future), and eventually explodes as a supernova (the normal path/stages of a star). Then people would need to leave in time by spacecrafts (however this would be in millions of years, and i assume people would be colonizing several other planets by then).

If would be the end of the world to have an object that massive hit the earth. And to get the moon to hit the earth, all you to do is slow it's revolution speed, it's orbit will decay and it will crash with earth.

If the moon colidided with the earth its all over.
As the moon is trying to escape the earths orbit it is very unlikely to happen. If it did manage to escape the same thing would happen. Its all over.
A massive collision is the only thing that could cause the moon to bang into the earth.
This collision alone would mean its all over.
