There are many theories about the odds of having a boy or a girl. Ultimately the sex of the baby is determined by the father. Some are completely insanse such as sexual positions but others have been shown to be reasonably accurate. Factors such as the father smoking decreases the odds of having a boy. It has also been shown that the x chromosome (female) will survive longer but the y (male) is faster and stronger, thus intercourse about 72 hours before ovulation will give a greater chance of producing a girl since most the the y sperm will not last that long, but if intercourse takes place near ovulation the x sperm tend to get there faster and a male is more likely.
Below is a link to a website that supports this theory, however personal family experience has shown this to work 4 of 5 times.
Could be just luck, buy hey it's worth a shot.

The most important aspect of all is timing of intercourse during the monthly cycle. The closer to ovulation you have sex, the better the chances to have a boy, because the y-sperms are faster and tend to get to the egg first. If you have sex 3 days or more before ovulation, the better your chances to conceive a girl, because the weaker y-sperms tend to die sooner and the x-sperms will be available in greater quantity whenever the egg is released. On the other hand, having sex from 2 days before ovulation, through a few days after ovulation, is better for conceiving a boy. Around the 2-day point -- 48 hours before ovulation -- seems to be the 50/50 mark.

Well, my uncle and his wife had a baby girl. As a man, he wanted a boy.
So, they had a second baby.
They had a second girl.
They had a third baby.
They had a third girl.
He gave up.
His first daughter was pregnant. He was excited about the possibility of having a grandson. Bought a train set in anticipation.
His grandchild was a girl.
My uncle told everyone he gave up hoping for a male offspring of any kind.
His second grandchild was a boy.

While there are no guarantees, there is always a chance!! i have two boys also and never thought i would have ever have a chance of having a daughter. my hubby is one of five boys and one of his brothers has five sons. when i was pregnant with my third child i was determined that i was having boy number three ( i refused to find out the sex!!). i had everything ready for another little blue bundle and then all of a sudden out popped a little pink one!! i even told the midwife that she wasnt mine because i was having a boy lol!! my family and friends were equally as surprised as we were!! but the thing is really that the sex shouldnt matter providing the child and yourself are healthy - thats the main thing! if you decide to try for another one my suggestion is that you be prepared for the odds because there is a 50% chance that it will be another boy! but best of luck and i hope you are blessed with a little girl!! have a great chrissy :-)

Keep trying, then! Your chances of a girl are always 50/50, of course.

If you have another, you have 50% chance of having a girl. If you don't know this by now, you shouldn't have two kids already.

Medically speaking after you have 2 boys it is no longer a 50/50 chance; your chances lessen the more boys you have.
But be blessed that you have two healthy children!

My mum said that the best way to get a girl is to have protected sex repeatedly for 2 weeks after your period, then heaps of unprotected sex around ovulation.
