Yes, there can be division by using such words. But it's important to realize how the words are being used. " Say a person dates outside their race, they're a sell out." See it's really the thought process of the people doing the accusing, a statement like this makes me think the person stating this has problems. Yes I am aware coon is a racial word. I don't have many black friends so I can not provide information oh how much the word is used. Name calling is not warranted maybe giving a valid explanation is worth mentioning, but let's face it, it's much easier to insult. Tyler Perry's movies depict something that he is familiar with, so he shouldn't be judged harshly, that being said he and others need to understand the implications when doing films as he does about black people. At least make an acknowledgment and don't be blind and understand where people are coming from.
