I just finished doing a search on YA and there are a whole lot of posts about Dan Fogelberg's passing, and I actually read through most of them and the majority, like me, have been very touched by him over the years. I actually posted a message on YA last night around 11:00 after I read about it while I was online. I can't even imagine a world without him and any new music that I'm sure he would have written. Fortunately we will always have the music he did create while he was with us. My younger years are filled with memories of his incredible music. I don't really remember exactly how or where I "discovered" him - I like to think he discovered me. He so touched me. Even though I didn't know him personally, I feel like he knew me because the way he wrote was just the way I thought and felt. His kind of talent is almost non-existent anymore. As far as I'm concerned, he is one of the most gifted and talented artists of my generation. Such a beautiful human being. The world is less now. My heart is hurting.

Yes, it is very, very sad. I cannot listen to "Leader of the Band" without choking up; it still reminds me of my own beloved father, who died just over 2 years ago.
I grew up with the music of Dan Fogelberg.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts, Christee, and the sweet words of a wonderful musical artist!

I in simple terms finished doing a seek on YA and there are extremely some posts approximately Dan Fogelberg's passing, and that i myself study by maximum of them and maximum folk, like me, have been very touched by using him over the years. i myself published a message on YA final night around 11:00 once I examine it on an analogous time as i became into online. i can't even think of a international without him and any new song that i'm optimistic he would have written. thankfully we are able to continuously have the song he did create on an analogous time as he became into with us. My youthful years are crammed with memories of his outstanding song. i don't likely keep in mind precisely how or the place I "got here across" him - i like to think of he got here across me. He so touched me. even even with the incontrovertible fact that i did not understand him for my section, i've got self assurance like he knew me as a results of fact the way he wrote became into in simple terms the way i presumed and felt. His form of expertise is very virtually non-existent anymore. as far as i'm worried, he's without doubt one in all the main proficient and proficient artists of my era. this sort of captivating individual. the international is way less now. My heart is hurting.

I heard if from you first. I just looked up some of his music yesterday. Auld lang syne was my favorite and every New Years I think of this great song and I will now think of him. He left his legacy in his music. It was his heart and soul.

The first thing that I thought of when I heard he passed away is that "wuss rock" will never be the same. It sucks that he's dead though, he certainly was a brilliant writer.
