Did they not think of that abuse when they closed down the old News-Chat system ?

It seems that every other question tonight is about homework.

Not affecting me, so I don't care. But it does seem like it's cheating.

God, I miss those old news boards. It seems like such a long time ago. I miss Cindybin, cluckie the chicken, and spartancheerleader.

Students study together all the time. Students also ask their parents for help, read books, notes and look up answers in encyclopedias. Why should they not ask their questions and glean what knowledge they can from the answers?

If the teacher wanted the student to be isolated in a room when he answered these questions, he would have given them a test - not homework.

I disagree, most of the time they get different points of view which only serves as starting point for research. Whether they get the answer here, wikipedia or other site i think makes no difference. They still will get the answer somehow or are you one of those that think is better to come up with really hard ways to solve simple problems.

i don't see it as a problem. it's not any different than asking people over the phone, etc. people need help with homework. i try to help more as a tutor with the goal of that person understanding.
